Become a Football Coach in England and Wales

Football coaches have a huge influence in Wales and plays a vital part in how the game is continually progressing. They have fantastic knowledge which is passed onto players to succeed at every level and play a key role in the development of young players right up to senior level.

FAW Qualification

The FAW now provide an established coach education program and these extra qualifications help the already great coaches we have in Wales as well as introducing new coaches young and old onto the coaching ladder.

The first step in becoming a new coach is to apply and attend a Welsh Football Trust Foundation Award. This is the first step into coaching and your first qualification to gain.

How long does it take + -

This depends on what level course you choose to complete. The Football Leaders Award for example is spread over an 8 hour session following 5 online modules. The C Certificate is set over a period of time that will allow 2 off course monitoring sessions, and five contanct sessions.
